In 2010, even before my first book was published, I had an idea, a strange, crazy idea.
I wanted to write an epic western set in a post-apocalyptic future where boys were rare and electricity didn’t work in most of the western U.S. But who would read that? Firefly had failed. But you see, I hadn’t watched Joss Whedon’s Firefly. I didn’t know. And when I did? I was determined, if Joss Whedon could take such a risk with a sci-fi western, so could I.
Nine years later, the first book is out, and we have the other three on the way.
